Bucs Players Go Off On Twitter After Team Fires Head Coach Lovie Smith

Lovie Smith Fired

Lovie Smith was unable to turn the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into a winner during his two season as head coach of the team, compiling an 8-24 record during that time—including a 6-10 record this season.  However, he must have built quite a rapport with his players, because when it was announced on Wednesday that the team was firing Smith, many of the Bucs’ players took to Twitter to voice their shock and disapproval.

Perhaps most notable among the angry Tweets were these two from linebacker Lavonte David, which have since been deleted:
