How Did Patriots Coach Bill Belichick Get A Black Eye?
Ramon Foster: Multiple Bengals Spit On Steelers, Not Just Burfict
Just in case you thought the AFC Wild Card drama between the Cincinnati Bengals & Pittsburgh Steelers was over, you were wrong. Bengals’ Vontaze Burfict has already received a 3 game suspension for the 2016 season because of his headshot on WR Antonio Brown, now he and multiple Bengals players are being accused of spitting on Steelers players.
According to Jim Colony of 93.7 The Fan:
Steelers guard David DeCastro also said Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict spit on him. Per CBS Pittsburgh, Foster revealed on The Fan Morning Show on 93.7 The Fan that Burfict wasn’t alone. “He wasn’t the only guy,” Foster said. “I will say that he had another culprit out there with him.”
“It’s uncommon,” Foster said. “And I think it’s a huge deal. Spitting on somebody is a huge offense. You take that as a sign of major disrespect. I don’t care what venue you’re in – basketball, football, hockey, or you’re at your neighborhood bar – spitting on somebody is unacceptable.”
The sport of football wasn’t designed for that. Is it a gruesome game? Is there a thin line between, you know, going over the top and playing the right way? Yeah, it is, but you have to understand that you have to be smart enough to realize that you can’t do those things on the football field, and especially in a prime-time game like that, and against some guys you’re going to see at least twice a year, anyway. We just play our ball, though. We have to be smarter than that.
Don’t expect either of these teams to forget any of this come next year, and I can’t wait.
