On Sunday, it was reported that Calvin Johnson had told family members, friends, and the Detroit Lions that he intends to call it a career at just 30 years of age.

Could one of the greatest wide receivers in the game really be retiring with so many productive years still ahead of him?  It isn’t impossible or unreasonable to assume Megatron is telling the truth, but this recent text message conversation with New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has us thinking otherwise:
