REPORT: Peyton Manning Told Friends He Plans to Retire After Super Bowl 50
It was assumed by most that Super Bowl 50 would be Peyton Manning‘s last hurrah, especially after listening in on his post-game conversation with Pats head coach Bill Belichick following the AFC Championship Game.
Now, a post-Super Bowl retirement from Manning seems even more likely after it was reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport that the Broncos quarterback told his close friends that he plans on hanging up the cleats following Sunday’s big game in Santa Clara.
While speaking on the NFL Network on Monday, Rapoport said the following:
“The reality is he let the cat out of the bag a little bit, I also know he has told close friends that he expects this to be his last game as well.”
Will the outcome of Sunday’s game have any effect on Peyton’s final decision? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
