Brandon Marshall Doesn’t Want Colin Kaepernick on the Jets
Branson Marshall had a very productive first season with the New York Jets in 2015, recoding 109 receptions for 1,502 yards and a career-high 14 touchdowns. He accomplished all of that with Ryan Fitzpatrick as his quarterback, so it’s no surprise to hear that the Pro Bowl wide receiver doesn’t want the Jets to ditch Fitz for someone like Colin Kaepernick. He told Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless that much during his appearance on First Take earlier today.
Of course, it’s been rumored that Kaepernick wants out of San Francisco, with the Jets being his desired landing spot. When Marshall was asked about the possibility of Kaep becoming a Jet, his exact comments were as follows:
“I don’t want Kaepernick. It think he’s good…My guy’s Fitz. It’s nothing against Kaepernick…
“I have my quarterback, so I’m good.”
If the Jets’ front office were interested in their star receiver’s thoughts about acquiring Kaepernick, they have their answer.
