Josh Norman Torched Rodney Harrison Over Comments About Injuring Cam Newton
On Wednesday, Former Safety of the New England Patriots Rodney Harrison made some comments that probably pissed off a bunch of Carolina Panthers fans in regards to what he would do to Cam Newton. Harrison basically said he would take every opportunity to intentionally hurt him and knock him out of the game.
“If I see Cam Newton running the ball and he’s a quarterback and I’m on defense, I’m trying to hurt him,” Harrison, the former Pro Bowl safety and current analyst for NBC Sports, told Newsday on Radio Row at Super Bowl 50 on Tuesday. “I’m trying to knock him out of the game.”
“I guarantee you that as many compliments that Denver’s defense is giving Cam Newton,” he said, “those guys are in the background saying: ‘If we can knock him out of the game, that’s the difference between us winning and losing the Super Bowl.’ ”
Carolina Panthers CB Josh Norman is never one to hold his tongue about anything, so it came as no surprise he didn’t appreciate the comments made by Harrison.
