This Crazy Golf Robot Just Bagged a Hole-in-One at the Phoenix Open (Video)

LDRIC

Way back in 1997, a very young Tiger Woods took to the Phoenix Open and nabbed a hole-in-one on the 16th hole par 3. Now, almost 20 years later, a golf robot called LDRIC (like Tiger’s name) did the very same thing.

LDRIC has been deemed “the go-to device for equipment and ball-testing in the golf industry,” and apparently it has a hell of a swing on it.

Back in ’97, when Tiger delivered the goods, a tradition was started in which the fans showered the green in booze. With LDRIC’s feat, the tradition continued, so rest easy knowing that robotics technology is giving drunk golf fans in Phoenix something to cheer about.

Here’s the clip:

The best part? You can totally talk during its backswing.
