Thomas Davis Posts Photo of Stitched-Up Arm and Message on Instagram (Pic)
If you want to see what playing through injury looks like, you came to the right place.
You wouldn’t have known that Thomas Davis was playing with a recently-operated-on arm last night during Carolina’s lackluster Super Bowl performance, but underneath a hard cast was a truly gruesome image of a healing arm.
Most players and team members (including trainers) didn’t think Davis would be healthy enough to play. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t, but he suited up anyway, despite a recovering arm that looked more like a football than an appendage.
This post is not about me, or how tough I am. It’s not to shine any light on me or my injuries. Our team doctors and trainers did an amazing job giving me an opportunity to get back on the field. This post is strictly to show how much love I have for my brothers and #PantherNation. Thank you all for your support and we will #KeepPounding.-TD
Let’s hope that it didn’t cause him too much pain or set back the healing process. It clearly didn’t affect his play, as he amassed seven tackles during the game, but obviously, that wasn’t enough to guide the Panthers to victory.
