Ronda Rousey’s Pissed That ‘Tonight Show’ Wanted Her to Post Photoshopped Pic of Herself
Ronda Rousey has had a tough go of it in the past few months, but the media tour has picked back up as she preps for the next chapter in her career and touts her appearance in the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
After doing a spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she was given an image to put on social media to promote her appearance. That’s a pretty normal course of action these days. The problem was, the folks that gave her the image took the liberty of photoshopping the pic to make her arms and legs thinner. And they never told her.
This didn’t sit well with Rousey.
She took to her social media to offer an apology, despite doing nothing wrong, and showed the two images side by side. Here they are:
I have to make an apology to everyone – I was sent a picture to share on social for Fallon that was altered without me knowing to make my arms look smaller. I won’t say by who – I know it was done with severely misplaced positive intentions – but this goes against everything I believe and I am extremely proud of every inch of my body. And I can assure you all it will never happen again. I could not be more appalled and hope you all forgive me
Good on her for calling them out on this. Hopefully the practice will stop, or they’ll at least tell people when they’re manipulating their likeness.
