Junior Hockey Player Handcuffed and Arrested on Ice After Spitting On, Fighting Referee (Video)
I’ve seen plenty of crazy things take place during hockey games. A player getting handcuffed and arrested on the ice is not one of them…until now.
Last Sunday, 21-year-old Olivier Marcotte had to be restrained by a linesman and handcuffed on the ice by Quebec Provincial Police after spitting in the linesman’s face and attempting to fight him.

Marcotte was released by police later that evening and unless a complaint is filed, no further action is expected to be taken.
As for his hockey career, Marcotte was playing in his final Junior AA game. His Sherbrooke team was eliminated following their 9-3 loss to Nicolet, and it was his final year of Junior AA eligibility.
I guess it’s onto the beer leagues for this meat-head.
