NBA Legend Oscar Robertson Isn’t Impressed By Curry, The Warriors, Or Today’s NBA (Video)

NBA legend Oscar Robertson who in the 1961-1962 season averaged a triple-double for the season(30.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 11.4 assists) is not impressed with anything the current Golden State Warriors team is doing at all. He believes the coaches of today do not understand the game or coach whatsoever. Big O is just not impressed by anything in today’s NBA.

“I think Golden State and some other teams play very well, but look at the game of basketball,” he said. “They run one play. Well, maybe two plays. They’ve got a high-pick with the center, then the shooters run baseline trying to get open with blocks from the forwards. I mean that’s it. You don’t see hardly any reverse plays at all, no double screens, no weak side and whatnot.”

On current coaches:

“I just don’t think coaches today in basketball understand the game of basketball. They don’t know anything about defenses. They don’t know what people are doing on the court. They talk about analytical basketball and stuff like that.”
