Donald Trump Gives Shoutout to Yankees Great Paul O’Neill, Tells Him “I Love You” (Video)
Apparently Paul O’Neill wants to make America great again.
The former MLB right fielder and key member of the Yankees dynasty that won four World Series from 1996-2000 turned up at a Donald Trump press conference in Florida on Tuesday night. And seeing as how O’Neill is from Ohio, where Trump faces his next big primary challenge, the businessman-turned-reality TV star-turned serious presidential candidate made sure to give O’Neill a shoutout.
In fact, it was more than a mere shoutout. After pointing out O’Neill in the audience and making sure everyone knew he was from Ohio, he asked for his endorsement and told him, flat out, “I love you.”
It was…weird. Take a look:

Now, I don’t know about you, but that shrug didn’t strike me as a powerful endorsement. However, according to Washington Post reporter Ben Terris, O’Neill considers himself a big fan of The Donald.
