Falcons Announce Matt Schaub Signing on Twitter, and Their Fans Are Not Impressed (Tweets)

The Atlanta Falcons were busy on Wednesday, opening up the NFL Free Agency period by signing former Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl center Alex Mack to a contract, then going out and grabbing former Miami Dolphins defensive end Derrick Shelby as well.

Falcons fans must have been impressed by those two acquisitions from their team.  However, they were not impressed with Atlanta’s third signing of the day.

That third signing we speak of is the one that will bring 34-year-old quarterback Matt Schaub back to the team that drafted him in 2004.

There was a time when Schaub was a serviceable NFL quarterback, but that time seems to be long gone, as he’s thrown just 13 touchdowns compared to 20 interceptions over his last three seasons (with the Texans, Raiders, and Ravens).

So when the Falcons announced that they were bringing back Schaub on Twitter (like it was a good thing for their team), the fans responded just like you’d expect them to.
