Steelers’ Martavis Bryant Facing Season-Long Suspension For Substance Abuse
The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to have the likes of Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell back on offense when the 2016 NFL regular season begins. One key offensive weapon that they may have to do without, however, will be wide receiver Martavis Bryant, who is facing a one-year suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
No word yet on what Bryant was caught with or when the penalty occurred, but his agent has already filed an appeal.
Bryant missed the first four games of last season due to a similar violation. While serving his suspension in 2015, he spent time in a rehab center in Houston and worked with former NBA head coach John Lucas.
