Track Fail: Girl Gets Startled by Starters Pistol, Does Epic Faceplant (Video)
Twitter did not exist when I was in high school. Seeing as how Twitter officially turns 10 years old today, you might think that would make me feel old. And I guess it does. But it also makes me feel grateful. You see, because Twitter was not around when I was in high school, I’ll never have to go to a reunion and have somebody say to me, “hey, remember that time when you embarrassed yourself in front of a bunch of people and then your friend posted a video of it on Twitter and everybody in the whole world saw it?”
The girl in this video? She’s not so lucky. I don’t know what her name is, and for her sake, I don’t want to know. All I know is she was trying to run a race during gym class or track practice or something when she got startled by the starting pistol and did an epic, meme-worthy faceplant. Then she got up, fell down again, got up again, and was like, “WTF do I do UGH TRACK IS THE WORST!!!”

Now, whoever this girl is has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m making fun or her. The video is funny precisely because this kind of stuff happens to everybody in life.
That said, I’d be lying if I said I’m not glad Twitter didn’t exist when this kind of stuff happened to me.
