Jeremy Lin Videobombed by Nelly During Interview After Epic Comeback Win Over Spurs (Video)
Everybody has been talking about the Golden State Warriors this year and whether they’re going to surpass the 95-96 Bulls’ 72 wins. However, what a lot of people have failed to noticed is that the San Antonio Spurs are right on their heels, having quietly put together their best team in franchise history. With a winning percentage of .843, beating them is almost as hard as beating the Warriors. In fact, for teams that are offensively challenged it’s more difficult. The Spurs give up fewer points per game than any other team in the league, and when they take a big lead it’s almost impossible for an opponent to come back.
That’s what makes what the Charlotte Hornets did on Monday night so special. Not only did the Hornets become just the 11th team to beat the Spurs this season. They did it after trailing by 21 points after the first quarter and 15 points at the half, outscoring San Antonio 55-37 in the second half.
How the hell did the Hornets do that? Linsanity, baby. Jeremy Lin turned back the clock to 2012 and came off the bench to score 29 points and grab seven rebounds.
Naturally, during his post-game interview with Dell Curry, one of Lin’s teammates dumped a bottle of ice cold water on him, and he was videobombed by Hornets minority owner Nelly.
Take a look:
The Hornets are now 14-4 since the All-Star break and suddenly looking like a threat to actually win the Southeast Division. Who’d have thunk?
