The LA Rams Will Probably Play a Game in China in 2018
Though 2018 is three seasons off, the NFL wasted no time in declaring its intent to rope Asia into its legion of fans through its newly-acquired gateway city, Los Angeles.
It makes sense that the LA Rams would do some traveling early on after their move, if only because their permanent home, an Inglewood stadium, won’t be ready until 2019. In fact, the Rams will be playing three international games in its first three years for this reason—one in Germany in 2017, one in China (presumably the next year), and one elsewhere (Mexico?).
It seems that becoming not just the favorite team of southern California, but rather the whole world, was part of the plan. I guess three games abroad in three seasons is a great way to start!
