Last week it was Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sticking his foot in his mouth while trying to convince us that playing football does not lead to brain injuries.

This week, it’s Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay‘s turn.

While speaking with SportsBusiness Journal about the prevalence of CTE in his sport, Irsay had plenty of stupid things to say, but his best may have been this comment in which he compares playing football to taking an aspirin:

“I believe this: that the game has always been a risk, you know, and the way certain people are. Look at it. You take an aspirin, I take an aspirin, it might give you extreme side effects of illness and your body … may reject it, where I would be fine. So there is so much we don’t know.”
