Syracuse Made One Bettor Rich, Could Make Another Even Richer

Syracuse Bet

Few bettors had faith in the Syracuse Orange when the NCAA Tournament kicked off a few weeks ago, but those who did could be on the verge of cashing in big-time.

One dude, for example, placed a $100 bet on Syracuse to win the tournament on January 13th at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, where the Orange were listed at 1000-to-1 odds.  At the time, the bet didn’t seem like a winner, but that all changed after Jim Boeheim’s team reached the Final Four following their miraculous comeback against No. 1 Virginia on Sunday.

That same bettor also placed two $50 bets on Syracuse one week later, when their odds dropped to 500-to-1.  And he’s not the only one who’s shown faith in Syracuse during their bleakest times.

With the Orange trailing Virginia by a large margin in the first half on Sunday, one gambler took a shot on Syracuse at 16-to-1.  Their $350 bet ended up paying out $5250.

Sure as hell beats working.
