Charles Barkley Went Nuts When Kris Jenkins Nailed His Championship Shot (Video)
A lot of people lost their minds when Kris Jenkins hit “the shot” that gave Villanova a 77-74 win over North Carolina in the National Championship Game. Turns out TNT basketball “analyst” Charles Barkley was one of them.
Barkley was working the game for TNT, sitting at their desk situated behind the Villanova basket. Hilariously, Barkley had his back to the court for the final play. Despite the fact that the actual game was going on about 20 yards away, and despite the fact that he wasn’t on air or anything, he watched the historic action unfold on the TV monitors in front of him. You know, because he’s a pro.
Of course, all decorum and professionalism went out the door when the shot went in. Take a look:

Now, a lot of you might be thinking right now, “hey, didn’t Charles Barkley go to Villanova?” And the answer to that is no, he did not. Charles Barkley went to Auburn.
Why, then, was Sir Charles so excited about Villnova’s big win? Because his daughter, Christiana, graduated from Villanova.
Here’s his explanation to USA Today:
“My daughter was living and dying with every game for the last three weeks, so I was really more excited for her, to be honest with you. She’s been going to a Villanova bar in New York City every game. She didn’t even want to come to the game because she didn’t want to jinx the game.”
So it wasn’t just to troll Michael Jordan. That was just a nice bonus.
