Not only did the Clippers drop Game 4 to the Trail Blazers last night, evening the series at 2-2, but in doing so, they likely lost their All-Star point guard for the playoffs.

Chris Paul suffered a broken hand with six minutes left in the third quarter. He has yet to be reviewed by specialists in LA, but this type of injury is expected to take at least 3-6 weeks to heal.

There’s no good time to get an injury in the playoffs, but with Steph Curry out for a couple weeks, it seemed like there was a glimmer of hope for the Clippers, who would face the Warriors in the next round if they are able to dispatch Portland.

Blake Griffin also sat out with a quad injury late in the game, and Doc Rivers claims he’s “50-50″ for Game 5 on Wednesday.

Needless to say, the Clippers suddenly have their work cut out for them.
