Internet Reacts to Rams Taking Full 10 Minutes to Draft Jared Goff 1st Overall (Tweets)
The Los Angeles Rams knew they had the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft ever since they traded the Tennessee Titans for it on April 14th. They’ve had two weeks to think things over, and apparently, they needed every second of it because they took the full 10 minutes allotted before finally announcing their pick, California quarterback Jared Goff.
The Rams may have enjoyed soaking up their moment in the sun, but the people of Twitter were having none of it. Here’s how they reacted to the Rams taking a full 10 minutes to make their first overall pick:

Hurry up and go 7-9 already Rams. — Will Brinson (@WillBrinson) April 29, 2016
I’d never play chess against the Rams, because they’d take three hours per turn and somehow the game would finish with them at 7-9.

adding the Rams to my hated teams list. This pick took way too long

Please, take your time LA Rams. You’ve only have the last month to make your decision. — Detroit Lions Pro (@DLPNFL) April 29, 2016
overheard in the media room, are the Rams trying to trade Jeff Fisher, is that what’s taking them so long….career .500 coach

Rams really need this long? Shouldn’t they have came in knowing what they want? What else is going on now….? — iMAV3RIQ (@iMAV3RIQ) April 29, 2016
The Rams remain on the clock. For the whole 10 min allotted. Theyve only known they’ve had the top pick for approximately 21,600 minutes now

This Rams clock is like when I say “I’m on my way” but then I go back to taking my nap. — Jessica Kleinschmidt (@KleinschmidtJD) April 29, 2016
Rams soaking up the moment. Hell, they’ve waited two decades. What’s another 10 minutes?
