Eli Apple’s Mom Wouldn’t Let Him Wear a Rolex to the NFL Draft Because He’s An ‘Unemployed College Dropout’
The New York Giants drafted CB Eli Apple out of Ohio State with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft last week. His mom, Annie has made quite the name for herself from comparing Carson Wentz to a youth pastor to calling Michael Irvin a top RB.
Via an essay she wrote for Sports Illustrated, she provided the quote of the century when her son was offered a Rolex to wear during the draft.
“Eli was offered Rolex watches and diamonds to wear on draft day,” Annie Apple wrote. “I told him, ‘Dude, you’re an unemployed college dropout. You will not be on TV with a Rolex.’ So we decided if he needed to know what time it was, he could just look at his phone. I bought him a portable charger.”
Give her the ‘Mom of the year’ trophy NOW. This quote was after she took to Twitter to put ‘Thirsty women’ on blast for trying to hop in the DM’s of NFL rookies.
Praying for all the thirsty girls sliding in new NFL rookies DMs with heavy booty & cleavage action pics. Only Jesus can quench your thirst
