turkish soccer fans burn stadium down

Turkish soccer club Eskisehirspor suffered a 2-1 loss to Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK on Saturday, guaranteeing relegation from the Turkish Süper Lig to the second-tier TFF First League with one game remaining.

Needless to say, Eskisehirspor fans were not happy with the result. However, setting the stadium on fire was probably a little bit of an overreaction.

That’s right. The fans set the stadium on fire after the game. To be fair, Eskisehirspor is moving into a new stadium next year, and the old one is slated to be demolished. But still, it’s generally best to let the professionals handle the demolition.

Take a look at this insane scene:

A few weeks ago we saw a soccer stadium that looked like it was on fire. Now we’ve seen a soccer stadium that actually is on fire.

Good thing Eskisehirspor’s last game is on the road, I guess.
