Former NC State Teammate Kalani Heppe Says ‘F*ck Russell Wilson’ After His Grad Speech
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson delivered the commencement speech to Wisconsin grads over the weekend and at least one former teammate is calling him out for lying in the majority of that speech.
Former NC State Wolfpack offensive lineman Kalani Heppe took to Facebook to put Wilson on blast in an expletive-filled rant. By his own admission, Heppe states he does not like former NC State coach, Tom O’Brien, but what Wilson said about him during his speech never happened.
What Russell Wilson said:
“The summer before my senior year of college, I’m playing minor-league baseball. I called my football coach at NC State and said, ‘Hey coach, I’d like to come back for my senior year.’ He told me I wasn’t coming back. He said, ‘Listen son, you’re never going to play in the National Football League. You’re too small. There’s no chance. You’ve got no shot. Give it up.’ Of course, I’m on this side of the phone saying, ‘So you’re telling me I’m not coming back to NC State? I won’t see the field?’ He said, ‘No son, you won’t see the field.’ Now this was everything I had worked for. And now it was completely gone. If I wanted to follow my dream I had to leave NC State. I had no idea if I would get a second chance somewhere else.”
Kalani Heppe’s Facebook post:
“I think it is pretty well known how much I despise Tom O’Brien on a molecular level… However… Getting rid of Russell Wilson was the one admirable thing he did during his tenure at state. 80% of the sh*t that Russell said in his speech didn’t even happen, it was really hard for Russell to field punts and play safety when his head was firmly lodged up all the offensive coaches ass on a daily basis. Russell was a great player, but he was a “me” player, unable to put his team before himself and his “illustrious” baseball career at state. F*** Russell, us real State people still have (Philip) Rivers to claim.”
