Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather is not only trying to fight MMA star Conor McGregor, but according to him, he’s also trying to recruit MMA star Jon Jones to his ‘Money Team’.

“Jon Jones, I’ll be seeing you in a couple of weeks in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in training camp,” Mayweather said. “You know I stand behind you Jon Jones. When you went through a little roller coaster ride everyone turned their back on you. We’re still here for you.”

Much like Mayweather, Jon Jones is no stranger to controversy as he has had a very publicized battle with drugs. That controversy and battling to get past it makes Mayweather the perfect suitor for a guy like Jon Jones. Floyd is confident he can get him on the team.

“Of course,” Mayweather said. “There couldn’t be a better team than the ‘Money Team’.”
