Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy and his weight have been a topic of conversation ever since he came in overweight to training camp this past season. Reports out of training camp said that his weight was at 234 and he somehow gained 25 more pounds throughout the season.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy has been very outspoken about his RB’s weight and he’s made it very clear that Lacy would not see the field at that weight. Cheeseburger Eddie got to work and reports are that he lost 15-18 pounds so far.

Good, right? Wrong.

McCarthy still doesn’t seem pleased with his weight after being asked about it on Wednesday.

“Eddie’s like a lot of our team right now,” McCarthy said when asked of Lacy’s conditioning. “We’ve got a lot of work to do.”

He later said: “Eddie will be fine. I believe he’ll hit the target that we’re all looking for when the lights come on.”
