Former NBA player DeShawn Stevenson, who last played for the Atlanta Hawks in 2013, recently got himself into trouble with American Express. Stevenson had an AMEX Black Card at one point, but never paid the bill.  And now he owes the company $384,000.

AMEX took him to court and received a judgement against him to garnish his bank accounts to pay for the outstanding balance owed.

Only one problem: They checked his Bank of America account and he only had $62.09 available, which AMEX garnished.

DeShawn Stevenson made over $28 Million in his NBA career, so it doesn’t mean that he is broke.  He’s probably hiding the money elsewhere, away from creditors.
