At Age 28, Philadelphia Eagles DB Walter Thurmond Is Retiring From The NFL
Last season, Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Walter Thurmond recorded 71 tackles, three interceptions, two sacks, and two forced fumbles while playing in all 16 games with the Eagles.
Coming off the best season of his 6-year career, Thurmond has decided to retire from the NFL according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

According to sources, Thurmond has told people close to him that he is no longer interested in playing football anymore, and he wants to pursue other opportunities with his time in the league now up.
Thurmond spent the first 4 years of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, winning a Super Bowl in 2013.
