It’s been 15 years since the 2001 Los Angeles Lakers squad went 15-1 during their historic playoff run that ended with an NBA title. Crazy as it seems, people seem to forget just how freakishly dominant former Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal was at that time.

Via Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press, Shaq said his 2001 Lakers squad would beat the Golden State Warriors no matter what rules they were playing under at the time.

“If you’re using those rules, we’d win. Now we use these rules these days, we’d still win, because you wouldn’t be allowed to touch me, you wouldn’t be allowed to touch Kobe,” O’Neal said. “So yeah, that’s how I always look at it.”

First off, who’s checking Shaq on the Warriors? Exactly.
