Just a couple days after a pregnant Today anchor, Savannah Guthrie, said she wouldn’t be working the games due to the threat of the Zika virus, it’s been announced that Greg Rutherford, a long jumper from England, is hedging his bets as well.

The athlete has announced that he’s freezing his sperm should anything infect him during his time in Brazil. Pretty crazy, right?

The Zika virus can be passed to a partner via sperm, so frozen, untainted sperm would prevent any issues should he get infected in Brazil. Serena Williams has said that she’s going to be “protected” while down in Brazil, whereas gymnast Gabby Douglas offered up this headstrong advice:

“It’s the Olympics. Mosquitoes? Like, whatever. I’m going. This is my shot. I don’t care about no stupid bugs.”

Well, then. Ok.
