76ers Assistant Coach Sean Rooks Dies at Age 46
Sad news from the NBA as it was reported on Tuesday that former player and current Philadelphia 76ers head coach Sean Rooks had passed away at the age of 46.
Rooks suffered a heart attack shortly after eating dinner with his family in Philadelphia. He had interviewed with the New York Knicks for an assistant coaching position earlier in the day.
It saddens to report Sixers assistant coach & ex-NBA center Sean Rooks, 46, passed away in Philadelphia today, sources told @TheUndefeated.

Rooks spent 12 seasons as a player with the Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, L.A. Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, and Orlando Magic, averaging 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game over the course of his career. He spent the last two seasons coaching the Sixers.
