Snoop Dogg First Pitch: Not as Bad as 50 Cent, Still Pretty Bad (Video)
This Pittsburgh Pirates Game of Thrones Lineup Video Is Pretty Kickass (Video)
Game of Thrones is without a doubt the most popular show on television at the moment. Now, the Pittsburgh Pirates are cashing in on the hype with a sweet Pirates Game of Thrones lineup video.
Apparently the video, which was created by Gary Baker and Jason Cauveren of Baker Image Group, has been playing on the video board at PNC Park for a while now. However, they only put it up on Vimeo last week. Basically, it’s just like the iconic Game of Thrones opening, only instead of the various cities and fortifications of Westeros, we see shots of Pittsburgh, with its iconic buildings and stadiums rising up at the confluence of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t use the actual Game of Thrones theme song for obvious legal reasons. But they came up with a pretty decent knockoff.
Also, the iron throne has been replaced with the maple throne, because it’s made from bats instead of swords.
Take a look:
I imagine it’s only a matter of time before some team hosts a Game of Thrones night…if they can figure out a way to keep people from smuggling swords and battle axes into the stadium.
