Cowboys WR Dez Bryant Sued for Allegedly Sh*tting & Trashing Texas State Senator’s Home
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is being sued by Texas State Senator Royce West, who alleges Bryant trashed his 6,400-square-foot home he rented to him from September 2013 to January 2016 and he had to pay $60,000 out of pocket to cover the expenses.
“In court papers filed last week, attorneys for West call the treatment of the home “negligent and abusive.”West discovered the 6,400-square-foot home “littered with trash and feces, missing blinds and shutters, with cracked windows and blackened carpeting” after Bryant moved out in January, and his lawyers say Bryant refuses to accept responsibility for the damage. The lawsuit went on to say that Bryant was unwilling to accept responsibility for the damages and that West is suing for both $61,546.77 in damages and for loss of ability to rent the property while repairs are being made.According to the Dallas Morning News, which first reported the lawsuit, Bryant was paying $4,720 a month to rent the house. The Morning News contacted Bryant’s agent, who declined comment. West, according to the DMN, is a member of a support group of prominent citizens established to mentor Bryant, a 27-year old who is coming off a career-worst season.”
