FA QB Tarvaris Jackson Says He’s Broke After Arrest for Pulling Gun on Wife

Seattle Seahawks v Arizona Cardinals

Free agent and former Seattle Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson has played nine seasons in the NFL, backing up Russell Wilson for the past three years.  But today he claims he is flat broke.

In June, Tarvaris Jackson pulled a gun on his wife and said he would kill her. She told him, “You better be accurate because you ain’t accurate on the field.”

Jackson was arrested and now needs a public defender, because he claims he is broke and has no savings from his 9-year NFL career.

TMZ breaks down the details:

“It’s all laid out in court docs obtained by TMZ Sports … stemming from a June 24th incident in which the ex-Seahawks QB allegedly pulled a gun on his wife and threatened to shoot her.

33-year-old Jackson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and faces prison time if convicted — but instead of locking up an expensive high powered attorney, Jackson requested a public defender … which costs exactly $FREE-99.

In the court docs, Jackson says he has no income, no savings, no banks accounts, stocks, etc … all he owns is a $100,000 car.

Judge denied his request, so he will have to hire someone.”
Seems as if Jackson is trying to hide what money he has, because a divorce may be coming soon. The judge not only didn’t believe he was broke, but he told Tarvaris not to drink while out on bond and ordered him to hand over all of his guns.
