Entire Population of Iceland Does Viking Clap to Welcome Soccer Team Home from Euro 2016 (Videos)
We’re down to the final four teams at Euro 2016, with Portugal taking on Wales in one semifinal and Germany battling France in the other. However, no matter which of those teams winds up winning the actual trophy, the real winner of Euro 2016 is team Iceland.
The tiny island nation was one of the best feel-good underdog stories we’ve seen in a long, long time. They beat incredible odds just to qualify for the tournament. Then they shocked the world by advancing to the knockout phase and pulled off one of the all-time great upsets by defeating England in the Round of 16.
