Conor McGregor’s Coach Trolls Dana White Following Jon Jones’ Failed Drug Test
It’s Official: Daniel Cormier vs Anderson Silva at UFC 200 (Video)
As soon as the UFC announced that Jon Jones had failed a drug test and would not fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 on Saturday, the rumor mill kicked into overdrive. Would the UFC find someone to step up and fight Cormier on impossibly short notice, and if so, who?
Well, we finally have our answer. It’s UFC legend Anderson Silva.
Silva himself sparked rumors that he was stepping in to fight Cormier with this Instagram post on Thursday afternoon, which is captioned “Vegas here we come”:
Vale a pena ser um vencedor?Talvez sim, talvez não. Obviamente tudo tem um prazo de validade. A melhoria exige auto-consciência para saber quando acelerar seus esforços e quando simplesmente estacioná-los. Mas aqui na MUAY THAI COLLEGE Nos treinamos até que seja impossível dar errado. E nunca estacionamos, pois a vida é como água, se ficar parada apodrece Fica a dica!! Vegas aí vamos nós
UFC president Dana White made it official late Thursday night:

Of course, Silva is a middleweight, and hasn’t won a fight since 2012, having lost three and had one win overturned after testing positive for steroids. So Cormier vs. Silva will not be a title fight. This one’s all name recognition.
However, Dana White conceded that, if Silva beats Cormier, he could get a shot at the title.
“Yes, I guess,” White said. “We’ll see how this thing plays out. Listen, anything can happen. You know how this sport is. This sport is crazy.”
