Chael Sonnen: Jon Jones Once Hid Under Cage for 8 Hours to Avoid USADA Drug Test (Video)
A lot of people were shocked when they heard Jon “Bones” Jones failed a drug test prior to his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200. But not everyone was shocked.
Nate Diaz? He probably wasn’t shocked. Back in February he accused everybody in the UFC of being on steroids, and he doubled down on that assertion last weekend.
Based on what he told Joe Rogan on Tuesday, Chael Sonnen probably wasn’t shocked either.
According to Sonnen, last March, around the time the UFC was trying to set up a fight between Jon Jones and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, the USADA showed up at Jackson’s MMA in Albuquerque looking to administer a doping test to “Bones” Jones. However, when the folks at the gym saw the USADA coming, they had Jones hide under the cage. And he remained there for eight hours.

Of course, Sonnen himself admits that the exact details of the story might be a little different. But you get the basic idea: Jon Jones went to great length to avoid taking a drug test that he most likely knew would come back positive.
