UFC 200 - Weigh-in

On Friday, the UFC announced Brock Lesnar was flagged for a potential doping violation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. That potential violation could end up costing Lesnar more than just embarrassment within the sports world.

“The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 28, 2016,” UFC said in a statement.

According to rules, Lesnar may have to forfeit his $2.5M purse or at least a portion of it, but his opponent who he defeated at UFC 200, Mark Hunt, has other ideas for that money. He wants it…ALL OF IT.

I saw Brock made millions for this fight, more than anyone ever.” he said. “I wanna know what they are gonna do to Brock now. When you don’t make weight they give twenty percent of your purse to the other fighter. If you get caught cheating you should lose all of it.

“I’ve told Dana I want half of Brock’s purse.”

He then threatened to walk away from the UFC all together, if it wasn’t sorted.

“I’ve told Dana that I want a release from the UFC if they don’t sort this out.” he said. “They say they are trying to clean up the sport, but it doesn’t feel like it. The UFC is basically saying if you cheat you won’t be penalized.
