Metta World Peace Performs at Rap Concert, Announces New Rap Career (Video)
Metta World Peace should just feel fortunate that he’s back from China and in the NBA under contract, but the artist formerly known as Ron Artest is looking past his NBA career to the future.
And in the future, he’s a rapper.
Last night, World Peace took to LA hotspot Bootsy Bellows to perform his new song “Diamond Wave” to a small crowd. This will be the first song off his comeback album, despite the fact that he released another album as recently as March. He said he “didn’t like” that album. What a perfectionist.
The quality is pretty poor, but you should be able to get the idea:
I don’t think he’ll be as good a rapper as a basketball player, but this seems to make him happy, so as long as we don’t HAVE to listen to his flows…good for him?
