Odell Beckham Says Josh Norman is Only Relevant Because of Him

It was December of last year when the world tuned into a shocking back and forth scuffle on the field between New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and former Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman, which got Odell suspended for 1 game and Norman fined.

Fast forward to the offseason and Josh Norman is no longer a member of the Carolina Panthers after signing a 5-year, $75 million deal with the Giants’ NFC East rivals, the Washington Redskins.

According to Odell Beckham Jr., he feels as if he is the sole reason Josh Norman is even relevant—which prompted Norman to sign with the Redskins just so he could face Beckham twice a year because he needs the attention.

Via ProfootballTalk:

“It goes back to what I was saying,” Beckham said. “If I wasn’t playing him twice a year, maybe people wouldn’t bring it up as much. But now it’ll be a lot more media attention for him, attention that I don’t really look for, attention that I don’t need. The reason he’s become so relevant is because of me.”

Once these comments get back to Norman, fully expect him to comment right back. He always does.
