Buster Posey Shows the World a New, Painful Way to Slide into a Base (Video)
Buster Posey may have been called safe as he slid into third using a very, uh, unique technique, but it wouldn’t have even been a question if he had just used his hands to touch the base instead of his face.
The Giants catcher went into the base face-first (literally) with his arms seemingly in his pockets as his cheek and chin appeared to be his first body parts to actually touch the base. It’s something we rarely, which, after a century and tens of thousands of baseball games, is saying something.

Doesn’t look like fun, but it seems to have gotten the job done.
