After upsetting Novak Djokovic in round one, Juan Martin del Potro had all eyes on him in the next round, where he was taking on Portuguese contender Joao Sousa. Del Potro won the match, but the moment was marred by heckling and booing of the Argentine by fans of national rival, Brazil.

The animosity got bad enough that a fight broke out in the stands, which had del Potro chastising the disruptors.

Here’s a video of the altercation among fans:

Del Potro won the match and will advance, but is skeptical that his historically ailing wrists will hold up during the course of six matches (doubles and singles) this week.

“I am getting better and I am in good shape but I don’t know if I am prepared to play six or more matches this week,” he said.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
