The CFL Would Be Happy to Take Johnny Manziel, In Case You Were Wondering…
Assuming he’s able to get his act together and he can throw a football well enough to make a team, Johnny Manziel would be welcomed in the Canadian Football League, according to CFL commissioner Jeffrey Orridge.
Orridge did comment on “the integrity of the league,” but said that barring some huge scandal between now and his hypothetical joining of a league, he’d leave the decision to the teams of the CFL themselves. Right now, Manziel’s on the negotiations list for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, so they’d get first crack at him.
We haven’t heard much from Johnny Football recently, but considering all we used to hear was bad news, that could be a sign of improvement for the beleaguered college star. He likely isn’t going anywhere this year, but a return in 2017 isn’t out of the question.
