Sources Say John Wall Gets Upset & Jealous When Other Players Make More Money Than Him
Report: Chris Broussard’s ESPN Contract is Expiring Soon
Since 2004, Chris Broussard has been a staple at ESPN, but according to Sporting News, that may be coming to an end very soon. As an NBA insider for the worldwide leader, Broussard is usually hours behind on breaking NBA news, yet he has millions of followers on Twitter for whatever reason.
Broussard’s contract is up in September and in recent months, ESPN has either lost or got rid of top media personalities that have made them what they are today.
“The NBA insider’s current contract with ESPN expires in mid-September, said sources with knowledge of his deal. That could make the experienced, versatile Broussard a valuable free agent at at time when the surging NBA has never drawn more media attention.
Broussard seems like the kind of veteran ESPN’s John Skipper wants to keep. If he doesn’t stay with ESPN, I could see him jumping over to TNT, the NBA’s other TV partner, to team with fellow NBA Insider David Aldridge.
But the real question for the ex-New York Times reporter is whether he wants to remain an NBA Insider — or try to become the kind of “fearless,” all-sports, opinionist that Fox Sports boss Jamie Horowitz wants at FS1.”
