In Dire Need of Another Terrible QB, Dallas Cowboys to Sign Mark Sanchez
After National Anthem Protest, Colin Kaepernick’s Jersey Sales Skyrocket
Looks like the outrage isn’t as big as the media would like you to believe after San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to silently protest the treatment of minorities in America by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem.
The backlash came swift and heavy from around the nation, but according to Seattle Times reporter Mike Rosenberg, the anger hasn’t translated into poor jersey sales. In fact, it’s been the complete opposite.
After losing his starting job, Kaepernick had the 20th best selling jersey on the 49ers. After the National Anthem protest, the sales skyrocketed to 3rd. And then a few hours later, he had the top selling jersey on the team.
