Family Thanks Miesha Tate For Rescuing 6-Year-Old With Broken Arm During Hike (Video)
Last time the sports world saw UFC star Miesha Tate she was getting naked at a weigh-in only to lose in the 1st round at UFC 200 to Amanda Nunes via submission at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Still near the area, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion was thanked by a family on social media after they said she help rescue their 6-year-old who had broken her arm during a hike. After sustaining the injury, Tate offered to carry her down the 2.6-mile trail.
Such a crazy labor day weekend for our family but ended in such an amazing and beautiful way. My poor Kai broke her arm at the top of the Mary Jane Falls hike at Mt Charleston. So @mommapook and I basically had to carry her down miles ahead. To our rescue and assistance came the amazing @mieshatate the UFC fighter. She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met. Our family cant thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner. Thank you again #mieshatate
Then, 6-year-old Kai sent Miesha Tate a thank you video:
Tear jerker! Meet Kai the sweet little girl that kept me company down the mountain side, very upbeat despite her broken arm. And I just have to say this was one of the most rewarding days of my athletic career. And I also want to make a point that I have been told many times that I am “too buff” or “manly” that I should stop lifting weights, that it’s “gross” and not attractive for a woman. I am so happy I never listened to the limitations others wanted to put on me and I hope that our youth knows that don’t have to conform. That strength and beauty come from within! #BeStrong #BeCapable #BeWhatYouWant #NoRegrets #JustLove #PayItForward #GiveBack #Inspire
