U.S. Swimmer and 12-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte will forever be known as the guy who fabricated a story about being robbed during the Rio Olympics in an attempt to cover up his involvement in vandalizing a gas station.

After finally coming out with the real story, he lost four endorsement deals (Speedo, Ralph Lauren, Airweave, & Gentle hair removal) that were worth approximately $1 million and Rio Police also charged him with filing a false police report.

It’s not over just yet, according to TMZ:

“USOC connected sources tell TMZ Sports … Lochte has been suspended for 10 months. There are additional sanctions.

We’re told the punishment was handed down not just by the USOC but by the IOC and USA Swimming as well.”

His punishment was worse than what his teammate and friend Michael Phelps received back in 2014 for multiple DUI’s, which earned him a 6-month suspension.
