After One Game, Los Angeles Rams Fans Start ‘Fire Fisher’ Campaign
Vets at American Legion Put Out Banned List of Teams That Disrespected The Anthem
Seems like a few weeks ago, we were all excited for the start of the 2016 NFL season. Four weeks of preseason games and one week of regular season games later, the biggest talk around the league is still about how 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for the playing of the National Anthem.
Recently, #VeteransForKaepernick went viral on social media, showcasing thousands of Vets who stand with Kaepernick and what he’s trying to do by getting the conversation started about racial injustice in this country.
While there has been support for him online, the American Legion’s Department of Texas, which represents all Texas Posts and serves the needs of all veterans of U.S. Armed Forces and their families, are not fans of Kaepernick or any players that have kneeled during the playing of the Anthem.
They went so far as to make a list of teams that are banned from being played at Post 50.
