It would seem that the tier of superstars who came into the league in the late 90s are dropping like flies following the announcement of Kobe Bryant’s retirement. Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and now Paul Pierce, who just announced that he’s good for another year before hanging up his high tops.

He made the announcement in ‘The Players Tribune this morning.

He’ll be suiting up for the Clippers this year, and this advanced notice will give everyone the opportunity to say goodbye to the star, who’s made the rounds recently, suiting up for a few teams in the twilight of his career.
